
“Law for Records Management” — iSchool RM Certificate Course — February 21, 2014 — Toronto (NEW DATE)
I will be teaching this course offered by the University of Toronto’s iSchool Institute as part of the Records Management Practice certificate program.  Here is the course description from the iSchool Institute website:

This course examines the aspects of Canadian law that affect the management of records, provides guidance in researching legislated records retention requirements and limitation periods in Canadian statutes and regulations, and identifies selected U.S. laws (e.g. The Sarbanes-Oxley Act) that may affect the record keeping practices of Canadian businesses. Students will learn through examples and exercises.
