DESCRIPTION:(Co-presented with Wendy McLain, ICRM President)\nDuring this year’s upcoming ARMA Canada Conference  ( http://www.armacanadaconference.org/ )I will be co-presenting a session for RIM professionals interested in taking the Parts 1-6 examination for the Certified Records Manager (CRM) designation or the Parts 2-4 examination for the new Certified Records Analyst (CRA) designation.\nThis session will provide a high-level overview of the history and benefits of professional development in the RIM profession, in particular, those obtained through ICRM certification. This session will also explain the role of the Institute of Certified Records Managers (ICRM), provide an overview of the qualifications to become a CRM or CRA candidate, and discuss the application process. Tips will be provided on how best to develop an exam prep strategy relevant to an individual’s needs and goals. Through a series of sample questions and answers (20 sample questions for each of Parts 1-5), participants will increase their understanding of how exam questions are structured and learn the most effective exam taking strategies.\nThis presentation will also provide a high-level overview of Part 6 of the CRM exam: the written case study.
